Feast Of The Immaculate Conception, Gas Prices Continue To Plunge, FLOTUS Delivers Toys To Children Of Service Members, Patriot Andrew Jackson, And More
On December 8, 2025, the White House published thePresidential Message on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception was established by the Catholic Church in 1854 establishing December 8 (with a vigil starting December 7) as a Holy Day. In Luke 1:26-38 (KJV) we learn:
26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, 27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. 28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. 29 And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. 30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. 31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. 32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: 33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? 35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. 36 And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren. 37 For with God nothing shall be impossible. 38 And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.
The Presidential Message states that Mary has a distinct role in our American story. Our newly formed Nation was consecrated to the Mother of Christ by Catholic Bishop John Carroll in 1792. John was cousin to Declaration of Independence signer Charles Carroll of Carrollton (discussed in my July 16 ANP Article). On January 8, 1815, General Andrew Jackson accomplished a resounding victory at the Battle of New Orleans. Catholics in the new Nation attributed General Jackson's resounding victory as a blessing of the Virgin Mary over the new Nation. In the heart of our Nation's capital resides the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. In addition there are nearly 50 American colleges and universities that bear Mary's name. President Trump remembers the words that have brought aid, comfort, and support to generations of Americans in times of need:
Hail, Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Thank you, General Anderson. Its wonderful to join everyone here at Marine Corps Base Quantico. You might be wondering why Santa asked me to bring him here today. Wellthis wonderful adventure is filled with Christmas sparkle and lots of love. Santas reindeerRudolph, Dasher, Cometall of themthey are resting in the North Pole. They need to save all of their energy for their great flight around the world on Christmas Eve. Santa told me theyre snuggled beneath warm, fluffy blankets, sipping candy-cane cocoa feeling the joy and love that will soon be shared with amazing children everywhere. So, with his sleigh parked safely with his reindeer, Santa climbed aboard my Osprey and couldnt stop smiling. I watched him gazing out of the window, grinning at all the wonderful American families below. Santa told me that the Osprey floated through the sky like a giant snowflakebut it is WAY faster than his sleigh could ever fly.
Today, we are here for one of the most beloved traditions of the holiday season: Toys for Tots, led by the United States Marine Corps Reserves. For more than 75 years, Marines and volunteers across America collect and deliver new toys to children who need a little extra joy during Christmas. All wrapped with love, and great care. To everyone here at Quantico, and all those who support the Toys for Tots Foundation, thank you. This includes the Toy Associations generous support. I am grateful for your partnership and dedication to promoting fun and creativity. You help bring the delight of Christmas morning to millions of children, and you remind us that: of all American traditions, kindness and love remain among our most powerful. To the families of military personnel: you are the heart of todays celebration. Your strength in the face of adversity is inspirational. Some of the children here today have a parent stationed away from home right now. I know this can be difficult. On behalf of our Nation, thank you. And thank you to the parents and guardians who are here today. Your support and resilience empower our Marines to serve with honor and distinction. Whether near or far, you illuminate every occasion, enriching everyones life.
This Christmas season, you, your friends, and your families should wish for the ultimate giftlove. After all, love travels further than Santas sleigh and Americas Ospreys. Thank you and Merry Christmas!

Today's Patriot is Andrew Jackson who was born March 15, 1767in the Waxhaws region of the Carolinas of Scots-Irish descent. He had 2 older brothers born in Ireland who came with their parents in 1765 from Carrickfergus, Ireland. His mother had a strong hatred for everything British which she passed on to her 3 sons. His father passed away 3 weeks before he was born and his mother moved the family to the Crawford plantation in Lancaster County, South Carolina.
Andrew was schooled by a local clergyman because his mother thought he might become a minister. He learned reading, writing, and math while also being exposed to Greek and Latin. There was only one problem, it was discovered that Andrew was strong-willed and hot-tempered (with a propensity for pranks, curing, and fighting) making him unsuitable for the ministry. In his youth, Andrew was described as tall and lanky with red hair and piercing blue eyes.
Andrew and his brothers were true Patriots siding against the British during the Revolutionary War. His brother Hugh died from heat exhaustion after the Battle of Stono Ferry in June 1779. Andrew and Robert were encouraged by their mother to participate in militia drills in 1780. Both young men were captured in April 1781. Andrew refused to shine a British officer's boots and the officer used his sword to slash Andrew on the left hand and head. The boys were transported to Camden, South Carolina where they were malnourished and contracted smallpox. In late spring, they were part of a prisoner exchange. Robert died 2 days later; but, their mother was able to nurse Andrew back to health. After this, his other volunteered to nurse American prisoners of war detained on prison ships in the harbor of Charleston, South Carolina. She died from the cholera she contracted while tending to American prisoners of war. This left Andrew totally orphaned at the tender age of 14.
After the war, Andrew worked as a saddler and also taught children to read and write. In 1784, he studied law under attorney Spruce Macay in Salisbury, North Carolina. In September 1787, he was admitted to the North Carolina bar and, with the help of a friend, John McNairy, got appointed as a prosecuting attorney in the Western District of North Carolina (which would later become Tennessee).
Andrew stopped in Jonesborough on his way to the Western District and fought his first duel because he thought Waightstill Avery "impugned his character" but the duel ended with both men firing into the air, missing one another. Andrew went on to become involved in hundreds of duels but only one resulted in a death: 1806 when Charles Dickinson was killed over a horse race which culminated in Charles making rude comments about Andrew's wife, Rachel, leading to the duel challenge. Charles was a well-known marksman who shot first wounding Andrew in the chest (the bullet remained lodged in his chest for the rest of his life); but, Andrew still managed to mortally wound Charles. Andrew recovered but his reputation was tarnished, so he retreated to The Hermitage.
In 1788, Andrew lived in the frontier town of Nashville where he became a protg of William Blount. In 1791, Andrew was appointed AG of the Mero District. In 1792, he was appointed judge-advocate for the militia.
While boarding at the home of John Donelson's widow, Rachel Stockly Donelson, Andrew became "acquainted with their daughter Rachel Donelson Robards (who was in an unhappy marriage). The couple separated by 1789 and Andrew and Rachel started living together as husband and wife. Robards was granted a divorce in 1793 based on Rachel's infidelity (even though the couple were separated at the time she started her relationship with Andrew). Andrew and Rachel married in January 1794. While the couple had no children, they did adopt one of Rachel's nephews, naming him Andrew Jackson Jr. While residing at The Hermitage, Jr remained close to his biological family.
Andrew was instrumental in the creation of the State of Tennessee in the 1790s. He was elected in 1796 to serve as a delegate to the Tennessee Constitutional Convention in Knoxville where he helped to draft the first state constitution and bill of rights.
By 1812, Andrew was a General leading his troops from one victory to another during the War of 1812 culminating on January 8, 1815 at his victory at the Battle of New Orleans. As a General he proved himself to be "a brilliant tactician and strategist with a no-fear attitude" making him a national hero and a candidate for the presidency. His troops named him "Old Hickory" because of his willingness to suffer alongside them.
In 1822, he was nominated as a candidate for President by the Tennessee Legislature. In 1823 he was elected US Senator from Tennessee. He spent his time making friends and political allies (and managed to control his temper making him appear refined). However, he did learn that many politicians and government officers were corrupt (unfortunately, even though this was known back then, it continues unabashed to the present day).
In 1824, Andrew won the popular vote but not enough Electoral College votes to be elected. Even back then there was electoral fraud in that House Speaker Henry Clay and John Quincy Adams apparently "struck a deal" to make Adams president and Clay the Secretary of States. Andrew saw this as a "corrupt bargain" depriving the people of their vote. Disheartened, Andrew resigned his Senate seat and returned to Tennessee.
Rachel did not care for Washington. On December 22, 1828, Jackson wrote that Rachel had fallen gravely ill in fall that year, although her health appeared to recover. Rachel died the evening of December 22, 1828 and was buried 2 days later in the garden at The Hermitage. In January 1929, Andrew left for Washington to assume the presidency wearing a black mourning arm band on his sleeve and hat for the entirety of his presidency from 1829 to 1837. As president, Andrew laid the framework for democracy, paid off the national debt, gained new lands for America, strengthened relationships with foreign nations globally, and issued a new currency. He also set the precedent of the presidency as the sole representative of "the people" and wielded broad powers to carry out the will of the people (much like President Trump is doing today?).
In 1837, Andrew returned to Tennessee where he managed his plantation. He remained engaged in political affairs until his death. His mind remained strong even though his body was failing.
Those are some of the exact words used by Googles censors, aka 'Orwelliancontent police,' in describing many of our controversial stories.Stories later proven to be truthful and light years ahead of the mainstream media. But because we reported those 'inconvenient truths' they're trying to bankrupt ANP.
