Absolute Proof Of NPR And PBS Liberal Political Bias Shows Why Neither Outlet Should Receive One Red Cent From Hardworking Americans Via Their Tax Dollars

Talk about a perfect analogy for the times. In the 151st Kentucky derby this year, a horse called Sovereignty overcame and beat the favored horse, Journalism.
Perfect timing as we are watching the media landscape being changed, with "new" media sitting in the White House press room side by side with the liberally biased old media, White House press secretary planning to take over the decision making on seating arrangements for the press in the briefing room, and President Trump determined to defund "public" broadcasting networks, NPR and PBS, due to said liberal bias.
The executive order on the White House website, signed by President Trump on May 1, 2025, is titled "ENDING TAXPAYER SUBSIDIZATION OF BIASED MEDIA."
S.E. Gunn generally covers EO's from President Trump for ANP, so I am just going to cite the top two paragraphs, so I can move along to proving why outlets like PBS and NPR should not receive one penny of taxpayer money.
Section 1. Purpose. National Public Radio (NPR) and the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) receive taxpayer funds through the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB). Unlike in 1967, when the CPB was established, today the media landscape is filled with abundant, diverse, and innovative news options. Government funding of news media in this environment is not only outdated and unnecessary but corrosive to the appearance of journalistic independence.
At the very least, Americans have the right to expect that if their tax dollars fund public broadcasting at all, they fund only fair, accurate, unbiased, and nonpartisan news coverage. No media outlet has a constitutional right to taxpayer subsidies, and the Government is entitled to determine which categories of activities to subsidize. The CPBs governing statute reflects principles of impartiality: the CPB may not contribute to or otherwise support any political party. 47 U.S.C. 396(f)(3); see also id. 396(e)(2).
The "old" media is having a meltdown over this EO, but below we are going to take a look at some of the most egregious examples by both organizations that shows not only their political bias, but their outright disrespect for the American people that have been surveyed on many of the topics and are against much of what PBS and NPR are pushing.
The @RapidResponse47 account on X has kindly done the digging and below are some of the findings brought to our attention by the website Twitchy. I am only using some of the examples shown, to see the rest just head over to the twitchy link above.
We'll begin with NPR.
NPR also offered an editor's note on a 2022 piece which spoke about the Declaration of Independence warning readers about "offensive language" within the document.
NPR also thought it was a good use of taxpayer dollars to publish a piece on "queer animals."
The next one is described by @RapidResponse 47, as "NPR routinely promotes the chemical and surgical mutilation of children as so-called gender-affirming care without mentioning the irreversible damage caused by these procedures."
NPR educated the nation on the whole community of genderqueer dinosaur enthusiasts and trans-ceratops.
NPR assigned three reporters to investigate how the thumbs-up emoji is racist.
NPR absurdly claimed limited scientific evidence of physical advantage exists between male and female athletes.
If the above examples of NPR aren't enough, it appears they also are using taxpayer dollars to assert "animals deserve pronouns, too."
Another NPR headline:
NPR disparagingly referred to pro-life Americans at the March for Life as anti-abortion rights activists.
Last but not least, I am sure most will remember this from NPR about the Hunter Biden laptop from hell story, to which was found to be true, and why they wouldn't cover it.

Next up, a few examples of PBS, which runs contrary to their claim of political independence.

Seen above, PBS devoted a panel to what it mean[s] to be woke and white privilege.
In 2021, a PBS station aired a childrens program that featured a drag queen named Lil Miss Hot Mess.
PBS produced an entire movie celebrating a transgender teenagers so-called changing gender identity.
PBS produced a documentary making the case for reparations.
In 2023, Washington Post cited the following data for the fiscal year 2024:
The Corporation for Public Broadcasting, NPRs and PBSs parent, received$525 millionfor fiscal 2024. Of that,$367 million went to public television stations. Public radio stations got$126 million. NPRs and PBSs assertions that direct federal funding totals a tiny portion of their budgets amounts to rhetorical money laundering. Through program charges and other fees paid by stations, their total take from Uncle Sam is well into double digits, in NPRs case anestimated 17 percent or more of the networks budget.
How about them apples?
There is no doubt there will once again be legal challenges to President Trump's order to stop taxpayer money from going to NPR and PBS, but seeing the type of propaganda they are pushing for the left, and we know it is for the left because the examples above are all part of the liberal agenda.
It is doubtful any conservative cares one iota about pronouns for animals, especially since conservatives mock the "they/them" pronoun nonsense for human beings.
Conservatives do not wants to hear about gay ducks, drag queen hosts, transgender sob stories, reparations, or any of the other leftist idiocy these publicly funded propaganda outlets push on a daily basis.
These are liberal outlets, geared for Democrat viewers, and while they should be able to publish whatever they want, it is their site, they have no business receiving one dollar of taxpayer money. By receiving taxpayer dollars, without taxpayers' approval, they no longer have that right.
Strip the funding and see how long these entities last without it.
