To which I must respond that the data the FBI uses is reported by individual jurisdictions. We have seen violent crimes negotiated down to misdemeanors and reports where "people of color" are recorded as "white" and men are recorded as "women" in those jurisdictions, so I don't trust their numbers anymore. From personal experience, I can tell you that MOST service members look forward to being in the field because it is the only time they can actually do the job for which they were trained. On top of that, those sailors are on a ship that feeds them 3 'real' meals a day - per shift! They're not stuck eating cold rations out of a can or bag (unless you find some way to heat them)!
