On June 12, 2026, the White House published the Presidential Memoranda National Security Presidential Memorandum/NSPM-12 addressed to the Vice President; Secretaries of State, Treasury, War, Interior, Agriculture, Commerce, Labor, HHS, HUD, Transportation, Energy, DofEd, VA, and Homeland Security; the US AG; Directors of OMB, National Intelligence, CIA, NSA, and CISA; the Assistants to the President for Science & Technology, National Security Affairs, and Counsel to the President; the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff; the White House Chief of Staff; the Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy and Homeland Security Advisor; the Administrator of General Services; and the National Cyber Director (well, that covers his entire Cabinet and then some!) addressing the subject of a National Policy for the Cybersecurity of National Security Systems.

President Trump begins by stating: 

As President, it is my priority to ensure that the United States can conduct key military and intelligence missions in contested cyber environments and that our personnel have access to the modern, secure technology they need to accomplish these missions. . . . It shall be the policy of the United States Government that these systems be defended to the greatest extent practicable and that executive department and agency (agency) heads be accountable for this defense through government-wide oversight mechanisms, ordering:

Section 1 - Purpose

To set forth principles and establish cybersecurity governance for a National Security System (NSS) per EO14306 (discussed in my June 7, 2025 ANP Article).

Section 2 - Policy

This Memorandum rescinds National Security Directive 42 of July 5, 1990 and National Security Memorandum 8 of January 19, 2022. The policy is now to foster a proactive, adaptive, and resilient cybersecurity ecosystem for all NSS.  Requirements for NSS must meet or exceed cybersecurity for other Federal Information Systems set forth within EO14306 (discussed in my June 7, 2025 ANP Article) and EO 14144 of January 16, 2025 (Biden) while promoting efficient use of taxpayer funds.

Section 3 - The Committee on National Security Systems (The Committee)

Reestablishes The Committee to enhance accountability and coordination across all Executive agencies & departments. At a minimum, The Committee will consist of Secretary of War (through DOW Chief Information Officer), DNI (through IC CIO), Director OMB (through Federal CIO), and Director NSA as National Manager (through Deputy National Manager). Advisors will include the USAG, Secretary of Commerce, Director of CIA, Assistant to the President for National security Affairs, Assistant to the President for Science and Technology, National Cyber Director, Chairman of the Joint chiefs of Staff, Director of CISA, and whomever else The Committee deems necessary. The Objective of The Committee is to establish baseline cybersecurity requirements; hold NSS owners and operators accountable for implementing required security measures; represent the requirements of the NSS ecosystem, owners, & operators at Congress and at the Council of Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency; coordinate with NSS; and facilitate a shared platform or forum. The Committee shall issue directives and complementary standards that apply to all NSS. The Executive Secretariat (overseen by the DOW CIO) is responsible for maintaining an authoritative portal of The Committee's guidance.

Section 4 - Policy Coordination Committee (PCC)

The PCC will be chaired by a member of the NSC staff and consist of representatives of the members and advisors from The Committee. 

Section 5 - The National Manager for NSS

The Director of the NSA is the National Manager for NSS and will provide recommendations on incident response for security incidents that impact NSS government-wide. They shall design, build, test, deliver, and protect cryptographic keys and codes; review, approve, and publish standards related to security of NSS; develop, evaluate, and approve techniques, systems, products, solutions, and equipment; operate printing, fabrication, and other facilities as needed; prescribe minimum standards, methods, and procedures; and enter into agreements for procurement of technical security material and other equipment.

Section 6 - Implementation

    • Within 30 days, The Committee will revise governing and operating procedures, and any other policies The Committee deems appropriate to comply with this memorandum.
    • Within 60 days, The Committee shall issue a roadmap and policy priority areas for NSS to be applied in the next calendar year.
    • Within 90 days, The Committee  will determine which directives and policies (with the exception of National Manager Emergency Directions, will be maintained and incorporated.
    • Within 90 days, The Committee shall rescind or harmonize existing policies, directive, and instructions to be compliant with this memorandum.
    • Within 60 days, the National Manager will recommend new or modified incident reporting standards.
    • Within 60 days, The Committee shall update policies to incorporate recommendations as appropriate.
    • Within 60 days after the release of incident reporting standards (described above), agencies will update their respective incident response policies to reflect the new standards.
    • Every year, each agency will annually update the inventory of all NSS property owned or operated by that agency and make those inventories available to the National Manager.
    • Within 60 days, The Committee will establish a working group to deconflict the identification and inventory of NSS and non-NSS in FCEB Agencies.
    • Within 60 days, the National Manager and Director of OMB (through the Federal CIO) will develop memoranda of agreements necessary for personnel to be assigned or detailed consistent with applicable law.

Section 7 - Adaptation of EO14306 to National Security Systems

    • Within 120 days The Committee will host an NSS cloud service, existing commercial cloud services shall be subject to negotiation between the CIA and The Committee.
    • Within 90 days, The Committee shall issue a report on the provisioning of cloud capabilities broken out by level of security clearance.
    • Within 90 days The Committee will review and identify current policy on Cloud Security and provide guidance and requirements for the secure hosting of NSS.
    • Within 90 days, the National Manager will provide recommendations to The Committee on policy to promote government-wide, secure, interoperable unclassified voice and video communication capabilities for mobile and fixed devices.

Section 8 - Definitions

Defines the terms: agency, Federal Civilian Executive Branch Agencies, Federal Chief Information Officer, National Security System, and information system.

On June 12, 2026, President Trump signed the Proclamation National Homeownership Month, 2026 recommitting his Administration to making housing more affordable, blaming reckless spending, burdensome regulations, failed housing policies, illegal immigration, and large institutional investors buying up single-family homes for the housing affordability crisis. President Trump is taking action to fix this mess and restore the American Dream of home ownership. President Trump writes:

From the first day I returned to office, I proudly signed an Executive Order to deliver price relief to Americans crushed by the left-wing cost-of-living crisis — launching a bold new era of progress on supply, affordability, and opportunity for every hardworking family across our country.  My Administration is working to restore integrity to Federal housing programs by ensuring taxpayer-sponsored loans once again reach the law‑abiding citizens who truly need them, not illegal aliens and fraudsters who rob Americans of more affordable housing options.  I have also directed Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to purchase $200 billion in mortgage-backed securities to further drive down borrowing costs so that more of our citizens can achieve homeownership. 

Earlier this year, I took unprecedented action to ban large institutional investors from purchasing single-family homes, keeping more houses available for American families, not corporations.  Through the Stopping Wall Street from Competing with Main Street Homebuyers Executive Order, we put prospective homebuyers back at the front of the line, directing Federal agencies to block big corporations from using Government-backed resources to outbid responsible homebuyers and unleashing the full power of antitrust enforcement to stop corporate giants from manipulating rents and pricing families out of their own neighborhoods.  I call on the Congress to make these reforms permanent and pass the bipartisan 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act — the most comprehensive and consequential housing legislation in the history of our country. 

The victories we have achieved for American homeowners and homebuyers are unprecedented, and my Administration will never stop fighting to protect and expand them.  Under my leadership, America will be a Nation where homes belong to families — not corporations — and we will never rest until the full promise and prosperity of this great Nation is felt by every hardworking citizen in a home they can proudly call their own.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, DONALD J. TRUMP, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim June 2026 as National Homeownership Month.

On June 12, 2026, ANP Commenter/Writer Madeline Ford reminded us that June 12th is Women Veterans Day aka Women Veterans Recognition Day or Women Veterans Appreciation Day. On June 12, 1948, President Harry S Truman signed the Women's Armed Services Integration Act (PL 890-625, 62 Stat 356) into law granting all women the right to serve in the US Armed Forces. Prior to June 12, 1948, women could only serve in the US Armed Forces as nurses in the regular and reserve forced only during peacetime.

The first Women Veterans Day was celebrated on June 12, 2018, and is currently a state-recognized commemoration in California, Hawaii, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Wisconsin.

The Veterans Administration reminds us that women have served in  America's wars and conflicts throughout our history. They have served as soldiers, spied on the enemy, provided food and comfort, and other vital roles beginning in our American Revolutionary War. More than 400 women fought on both sides of the US Civil War. About 35,000 women served as nurses and support staff during WWI. Another 140,000 served in the Women's Army Corps (WACs) during WWII in jobs such as military intelligence, cryptography, and parachute rigging.

In August 1943, the female pilots of WAFS and TFTD merged into WASPs (Women Airforce Service Pilots) and these women flew more than 60,000 miles in 2 years during WWII. The 6888th Central Postal Battalion was formed as the first and predominantly black female Women's Auxiliary Army Corps (WACs) unit to be deployed overseas during WWII, assigned to Birmingham England, Rouen France, and Paris France. This unit was active from 1945 to 1946 and housed 855 women under the command of Major Charity Adams and Captains Mary F Kearney and Bernice G Henderson.

The WACs were disbanded and the remaining female service members were absorbed into the regular US Military, but it took a number of years. The WAC Officer Candidate School was officially merged with the Officer Candidate Program in 1976. The WACs were officially disbanded on October 20, 1978 and all remaining WAC units were merged into the US Army. However, in the early 1970s the US Army began recruiting women for regular army status and by 1974, women were attending basic training at the same places as the male soldiers (albeit in separate female-only units). The women still wore the Palace Athena (PA) instead of the U.S. emblem on their collars until they graduated from basic training. In addition to regular basic training, women also received courses in wearing makeup (which was still a part of the official uniform) and dressing appropriately (slips, bras, and hosiery were required). In 1975, the first women's pantsuit was designed and produced as a Class A uniform which could be worn instead of the the jacket and skirt.

As of December 2025, there were 2.100,000 people serving on active duty in the US Military. Of these, 17.9% or 227,114 are female. The statistics do not say how many of these are mentally ill men who are pretending to be women. The Air Force has the highest representation of women with 21.7% of the total and the Marine Corps has the least with only 10%.

I was hoping President Trump might address this milestone; however, he has not. So, thank you, ANP Commenter/Writer Madeline Ford for bringing this to our attention!

Women Veterans Day is not a separate day for women Veterans, it is a tribute to a groundbreaking day when women were acknowledged as essential to the war efforts and could serve in the regular armed forces.

On June 12, 2026, President Trump signed the Proclamation Flag Day and National Flag Week, 2026, (last discussed in my June 14, 2025 ANP Article) recognizing June 14, 1777 as the date the delegates of the Second Continental Congress adopted the resolution declaring that 

The flag of the United States be thirteen stripes, alternate red and white; that the union be thirteen stars, white in a blue field, representing a new Constellation

Over time, the flag has been revised to reflect the growth of our Nation in this past 250 year. In honor of Flag Day/Week 2026, President Trump writes:

At its inception, the Stars and Stripes symbolized America’s fundamental precepts of liberty, justice, and dependence on Almighty God.  Our Nation’s official banner and the principles that propelled our Founding Fathers to boldly undertake the most consequential act of self-governance of all time have withstood the test of time.  The flag is a physical representation of our storied past, shared sacrifice, common heritage, and divine destiny.  From the frozen ground of Valley Forge to the blood-soaked field of Gettysburg; from the triumphant beaches of Normandy to the desolate face of the Moon; and from the granite steps of the Lincoln Memorial to the heart of every patriot who continues to define American Excellence to this day — wherever our beautiful flag flies, America’s greatness follows.  After nearly two and a half centuries, through every tragedy and triumph, Old Glory remains the strongest beacon of sovereignty and hope the world has ever known, thanks to the devoted patriots of the past who made it so — and it is up to us to keep her flying proudly for generations to come.

Our beautiful flag is a global ensign of America’s indominable spirit, matchless power, and endless resolve to achieve a more perfect Union.  This sacred symbol of the American people, carried by generations with incredible courage and unshakable faith in the promise of our Nation, deserves our deepest admiration, protection, and respect.  Last year, I signed an Executive Order to preserve the dignity of our flag by enforcing accountability for acts of desecration tied to violence and lawlessness.  We also authorized the revocation of visas, residency, and naturalization for foreign nationals who desecrate the banner under which millions of American patriots have fought and died.  As President, I will always wield the full power of my office in defense of our flag’s sacred honor, and I will never rest in my commitment to ensure that the proudest emblem of liberty is forever treated with the reverence it has so dearly earned.

Next month, America will celebrate the most important milestone in our history — 250 glorious years of blessed Independence — and the Red, White, and Blue will preside over jubilant commemorations from sea to shining sea.  It will billow atop flagpoles in sprawling cities and on neighborhood porches in small towns; it will fly over beaches, stadiums, parks, iconic landmarks, and military bases.  Our flag will wave in the hands of children at parades and festivals and flap solemnly as a sentinel over hallowed cemeteries of the fallen.  On Flag Day, during National Flag Week, and throughout the summer of this historic year, may our majestic flag soar as a triumphant symbol of all the American people have achieved and serve as a shining herald of the new Golden Age that lies before us.

To commemorate the adoption of our flag, the Congress, by joint resolution approved August 3, 1949, as amended (63 Stat. 492), designated June 14 of each year as “Flag Day” and requested that the President issue an annual proclamation calling for its observance and for the display of the flag of the United States on all Federal Government buildings.  The Congress also requested, by joint resolution approved June 9, 1966, as amended (80 Stat. 194), that the President issue annually a proclamation designating the week in which June 14 occurs as “National Flag Week” and calling upon all citizens of the United States to display the flag during that week.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, DONALD J. TRUMP, President of the United States of America, do hereby proclaim June 14, 2026, as Flag Day and the week starting June 14, 2026, as National Flag Week.  I direct the appropriate officials to display the flag on all Federal Government buildings during this week, and I urge all Americans to observe Flag Day and National Flag Week by displaying the flag.  I also encourage the people of the United States to proudly observe with all due ceremony those days from Flag Day through Independence Day, set aside by the Congress (89 Stat. 211), as a time to honor America, to celebrate our heritage in public gatherings and activities, and to publicly recite the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America.

On June 12, 2026, the Office of the First Lady published the statement First Lady Melania Trump’s Remarkable Week Empowering Youth through AI Challenge and Fostering the Future Accounts announcing Mrs. Trump's remarkable week in which she hosted the first ever Presidential AI Challenge National Champion Awards Ceremony (discussed in my June 10, 2026 ANP Article) quickly followed by her launch of the Fostering the Future Accounts (discussed in my June 12, 2026 ANP Article).

Our First Lady is calling upon the Governors of all 50 States to pledge to Protect America's Foster Youth, elevating children above their politics and support the Fostering the Future Accounts to give these youth the best start possible as they age out of the Foster Care System.


On June 12, 2026, the White House published the Presidential Action S254 Signed into Law.

S254Alaska’s Right To Ivory Sales and Tradition Act or the ARTIST Act for the purpose of amending the Marine Mammal Protection Act of 1972 to protect the cultural practices and livelihoods of producers of Alaska Native handicrafts and marine mammal ivory products, and for other purposes was introduced by Dan Sullivan (R-AK) on January 24, 2025. It had 1 cosponsor (Lisa Murkowski (R-AK)). The bill is summarized as follows:

  • This bill prohibits states from imposing bans on marine mammal products produced by Alaska Natives.
  • Specifically, states may not prohibit the importation, sale, transfer, trade, barter, or possession of marine mammal ivory, marine mammal bone, or baleen legally produced by an Alaska Native as an authentic Alaska Native article of handicrafts and clothing.

I suspect other American Native populations will soon want their own bill to protect their livelihood from other Acts governing minerals, gemstones, precious metals, etc. that they use to create their products.

A new lawsuit Susan Douglas & Paul Romano v. National Park Service docket # 1:26-cv-02016 filed in District Court, District of Columbia on June 6, 2026 about UFC Freedom 250 where 2 private citizens sued the National Parks Service over "UFC Freedom 250," a series of cage fights planned on the South Lawn of the White House. The lawsuit seeks the following relief:  

    1. Declare unlawful and ultra vires Defendants’ decisions authorizing the organizers of UFC Freedom 250 to utilize the South Lawn and Lincoln Memorial for a sporting event, and to erect structures on the South Lawn;
    2. Vacate and set aside Defendants’ decision as arbitrary, capricious, or an abuse of discretion under 5 U.S.C. § 706(2)(A); not in accordance with law under 5 U.S.C. § 706(2)(A); in excess of statutory jurisdiction, authority, or limitations, or short of statutory right under 5 U.S.C. § 706(2)(C); without observance of procedure required by law under 5 U.S.C. § 706(2)(D); and ultra vires;
    3. Stay the effect of Defendants’ decisions during the pendency of this lawsuit under 5 U.S.C. § 705;
    4. Temporarily restrain, preliminarily enjoin, and permanently enjoin Defendants from permitting the organizers of UFC Freedom 250 to utilize the South Lawn and Lincoln Memorial for a sporting event, and from permitting the organizers of UFC Freedom 250 to erect structures, including the so-called “Claw,” on the South Lawn;
    5. Award Plaintiffs their costs and reasonable attorneys’ fees; and
    6. Grant such other and further relief as the Court deems just and proper.

On June 7, 2026, Plaintiffs filed for an emergency TRO

    1. temporarily restrains or preliminarily enjoins Defendants from authorizing or otherwise allowing the organizers of UFC Freedom 250 to use the South Lawn as the venue for any sporting event, including the cage fights scheduled for June 14, 2026;
    2. temporarily restrains or preliminarily enjoins Defendants from authorizing or otherwise allowing the organizers of UFC Freedom 250 to use the Lincoln Memorial as the venue for any sporting event, including the pre-fight weigh-ins and face-offs scheduled for June 13, 2026;
    3. temporarily restrains or preliminarily enjoins Defendants from authorizing or otherwise allowing the organizers of UFC Freedom 250 to erect structures on the South Lawn, including in particular the structure known as “the Claw,” and directs Defendants to take all steps necessary to ensure that further construction ceases entirely pending further order of the Court; and
    4. grants such other and further relief as the Court deems just and proper.

On June 7, 2026, Judge Amit P Mehta was assigned to the suit.
On June 9, 2026, Defendants submitted a rebuttal to the request for TRO in which Defendants conclude: 

Plaintiffs’ late motion and the starkly inequitable relief it seeks should be denied. Defendants and third parties have labored for months to organize the events beginning in just three days. The work is nearly completed, and Plaintiffs’ proposed temporary restraining order would upend instead of preserve the status quo. For these reasons, Plaintiffs’ Emergency Application for a Temporary Restrained Order should be denied.

On June 12, 2026, Judge Amit P Mehta issued the following Memorandum Opinion Conclusion and Order

Because Plaintiffs fail to establish both a substantial likelihood of standing and irreparable harm, and because the equities and public interest weigh against emergency relief, Plaintiffs’ Emergency Application for a Temporary Restraining Order or, in the Alternative, an Expedited Preliminary Injunction, ECF No. 3, is denied. 

So the UFC fight is on!


On June 12, 2026, the White House released the statement America 250: Presidential Message on the 250th Anniversary of the Virginia Declaration of Rights. The Virginia Declaration was the first official declaration of individual liberties in the American Colonies. It also became one of the most consequential documents in the history of human freedom (Virginia, what happened to you that you now openly elect socialists and communists who are removing all your freedoms?).

This Declaration, written by George Mason, was adopted by the Virginia Constitutional Convention on June 12, 2026. It starts with:

Is made by the representatives of the good people of Virginia, assembled in full and free convention which rights do pertain to them and their posterity, as the basis and foundation of government.

This is followed by 16 Sections of individual rights:

  1. That all men are by nature equally free and independent and have certain inherent rights, of which, when they enter into a state of society, they cannot, by any compact, deprive or divest their posterity; namely, the enjoyment of life and liberty, with the means of acquiring and possessing property, and pursuing and obtaining happiness and safety.
  2. That all power is vested in, and consequently derived from, the people; that magistrates are their trustees and servants and at all times amenable to them.
  3. That government is, or ought to be, instituted for the common benefit, protection, and security of the people, nation, or community; of all the various modes and forms of government, that is best which is capable of producing the greatest degree of happiness and safety and is most effectually secured against the danger of maladministration. And that, when any government shall be found inadequate or contrary to these purposes, a majority of the community has an indubitable, inalienable, and indefeasible right to reform, alter, or abolish it, in such manner as shall be judged most conducive to the public weal.
  4. That no man, or set of men, is entitled to exclusive or separate emoluments or privileges from the community, but in consideration of public services; which, nor being descendible, neither ought the offices of magistrate, legislator, or judge to be hereditary.
  5. That the legislative and executive powers of the state should be separate and distinct from the judiciary; and that the members of the two first may be restrained from oppression, by feeling and participating the burdens of the people, they should, at fixed periods, be reduced to a private station, return into that body from which they were originally taken, and the vacancies be supplied by frequent, certain, and regular elections, in which all, or any part, of the former members, to be again eligible, or ineligible, as the laws shall direct.
  6. That elections of members to serve as representatives of the people, in assembly ought to be free; and that all men, having sufficient evidence of permanent common interest with, and attachment to, the community, have the right of suffrage and cannot be taxed or deprived of their property for public uses without their own consent or that of their representatives so elected, nor bound by any law to which they have not, in like manner, assented, for the public good.
  7. That all power of suspending laws, or the execution of laws, by any authority, without consent of the representatives of the people, is injurious to their rights and ought not to be exercised.

That in all capital or criminal prosecutions a man has a right to demand the cause and nature of his accusation, to be confronted with the accusers and witnesses, to call for evidence in his favor, and to a speedy trial by an impartial jury of twelve men of his vicinage, without whose unanimous consent he cannot be found guilty; nor can he be compelled to give evidence against himself; that no man be deprived of his liberty except by the law of the land or the judgment of his peers.
  9. That excessive bail ought not to be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.
  10. That general warrants, whereby an officer or messenger may be commanded to search suspected places without evidence of a fact committed, or to seize any person or persons not named, or whose offense is not particularly described and supported by evidence, are grievous and oppressive and ought not to be granted.
  11. That in controversies respecting property, and in suits between man and man, the ancient trial by jury is preferable to any other and ought to be held sacred.
  12. That the freedom of the press is one of the great bulwarks of liberty, and can never be restrained but by despotic governments.
  13. That a well-regulated militia, composed of the body of the people, trained to arms, is the proper, natural, and safe defense of a free state; that standing armies, in time of peace, should be avoided as dangerous to liberty; and that in all cases the military should be under strict subordination to, and governed by, the civil power.
  14. That the people have a right to uniform government; and, therefore, that no government separate from or independent of the government of Virginia ought to be erected or established within the limits thereof.
  15. That no free government, or the blessings of liberty, can be preserved to any people but by a firm adherence to justice, moderation, temperance, frugality, and virtue and by frequent recurrence to fundamental principles.
  16. That religion, or the duty which we owe to our Creator, and the manner of discharging it, can be directed only by reason and conviction, not by force or violence; and therefore all men are equally entitled to the free exercise of religion, according to the dictates of conscience; and that it is the mutual duty of all to practise Christian forbearance, love, and charity toward each other.

Thomas Jefferson (discussed in my July 21, 2025 ANP Article) drew upon these 16 Rights as he drafted the Declaration of Independence and it became the basis of the Bill of Rights.

President Trump writes:

As we celebrate the 250th anniversary of its adoption, we renew our solemn pledge to preserve and defend the sacred principles enshrined in the Virginia Declaration of Rights.  We reaffirm our commitment to protecting these liberties bestowed upon us by Almighty God, upholding equal justice under the law, and carrying forward this glorious inheritance of freedom for generations to come.

The history of our nation is important and apparently no longer taught in our K-12 school system. Let us return to our foundations before all is lost!
