President Trump Press Conference At G7 Meeting In France, US Army 251st Birthday, America250: Magna Carta, And More

By S.E. Gunn, PhDAll News Pipeline

On June 15, 2026, President Trump participated in a press conference with President Macron of the French Republic. They held a Bilateral Meeting in France for the G7 conference.

President Macron started the press conference by saying the he had a great evening watching the fights at the White House while giving President Trump the nickname President Trumpsperity. He commented that the Iran Peace Deal would fix the nuclear issue. That the nuclear issues is very important for peace in the whole world. He also noted the Deal would reopen the Straight of Hormuz and provide peace in Lebanon. He then stated that France is ready to take their fair share of the burden and be part of the commitment of the international community in order to support this deal. He said it would be a very important step towards peace.

President Macron brought up Ukraine noting that President Zelenskyy of Ukraine would be present on June 16, 2026. He also stated that there will be occasion to speak about issues of rare earth, critical minerals, trade and more. He thinks they will have to build convergence among the G7 members while also being an occasion to celebrate 250 years of independence for the US. He mentioned how the French supported the US and hosted the Paris Treaty in 1783 to end the US Revolutionary War.

President Trump then thanked President Macron noting that President Macron has been a special friend and that the two have had a fantastic relationship working on many deals together. President Trump then claimed the Iran Peace Deal is all signed and the Straight is already partially open while the US Navy hunts for the remainder of the mines Iran seeded into the Straight. Ships are starting to travel through the Straight and by Friday the Straight will be completely open. He did note that this 3rd set of Iran Leaders seem to be very smart and strong. President Trump said he felt badly for having to attack them two nights. He was glad Iran came to the table so it would not take a third attack. While the price of oil is not yet down to where it was before the Iranian conflict started, they are going down and the US Stock Market is continuing to go up. He reiterated that the main thing is that Iran will not have a nuclear weapon and they have now fully acquiesced to that condition.

President Trump announced that the Obama JCPOA deal is officially terminated. This deal sent billions of dollars to Iran - in US cash. At one time $1.7 billion was put on a Boeing 747 and sent to Iran. The bribe did not work. President Trump pointed out bribes never work. He stated that the Iran Deal that was made would bring a lot of success to the world. However, if Iran does not honor the deal, we will simply go back to having our military there and start the bombing again.

President Trump said there was a good conversation with both President Zalenskyy of Ukraine and President Putin of Russia and it looks like they are both open to finally ending the Ukraine War.

Then President Trump mentioned that in the heavyweight division of the UFC fight held at the White House, the French fighter won. He complimented President Macron on this team saying they were good fighters.

A reporter yelled Hey! Hey Sir! Are you going to try to attend the signing ceremony on Friday?

President Trump responded that Vice President JD Vance would probably do it. The day before there will be a late dinner the night before, so he might not be there. However, Vice President Vance is arriving specifically to sign the Iran Peace Deal.

Another reporter asked when will the text of the MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) be released?

President Trump said probably sometime after it is signed on Friday. He called it a very powerful document that he wants to see released.

A different reporter asked Does this involve any sanctions relief for Iran?

President Trump replied that it's a behavioral thing, they do what they need to do, once that starts taking effect we will see.

Another reporter asked What do you expect from France?

President Trump responded that he did not think we were going to need much help; however, it won't hurt to have a ship or two in the Straight from other countries. He then went on to comment about the Lebanon thing because that just seems to never end, so we will have a little talk with them

President Macron answered a question in French, then they ended the press conference.

On June 14, 2026, the White House published the statement Presidential Message on the 251st Birthday of the United States Army (last discussed in my June 14, 2025 ANP Article as a Proclamation). This year, President Trump writes:

Just as the Army has always fought for us, we must now stand up for them.  My Administration has proposed historic investments to rebuild our Army like never before and ensure our warfighters have every tool at their disposal.  Combined with hundreds of billions of dollars in Army investments already delivered through the Working Families Tax Cuts Act, we are upgrading critical Army infrastructure, rapidly delivering advanced weapons systems to our Soldiers, increasing the lethality of our joint force, expanding our defense industrial base, and bolstering our Nation’s strategic deterrence through an unwavering America First agenda.

Our soldiers and their families deserve the full support of a grateful Nation, and last Christmas, I was proud to deliver a Warrior Dividend to more than 1.5 million Service Members, a tax-free $1,776 bonus in honor of the year our Nation was born and a fitting recognition of the sacrifice and valor these Americans demonstrate every day in defense of our freedoms and way of life.  Under my leadership, we have also purged the anti-American DEI ideologies that took root in our ranks, restored the warrior ethos to its rightful place at the center of military culture, and rebuilt our Army on the foundation it has always thrived upon:  merit, grit, and strength.  Today, our soldiers are once again united by a commitment to this Nation’s founding principles, the American people’s shared and glorious history, and an unbreakable devotion to duty.  The results speak for themselves:  Recruiting has surged to historic levels, with the Army reaching its 2026 goals 4 months ahead of schedule.

As we celebrate 250 glorious years of American Independence, we greet the arrival of a new Golden Age for the United States Army.  We commit to always standing with our incredible Service Members, their proud families, and the loved ones who support them.  Above all, we honor every soldier who has ever answered the call to serve and reaffirm the timeless pledge that has guided generations:  This We’ll Defend.

On June 15, 2026, the White House published the Presidential Action Nominations Sent to the Senate:

  • James Andrew Crowell IV, of the District of Columbia, to be an Associate Judge of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals for the term of fifteen years.
  • Stuart Gordon Nash, of the District of Columbia, to be an Associate Judge of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals for the term of fifteen years.
  • Matthew R. Byrne, of Ohio, to be United States District Judge for the Southern District of Ohio.

The Layoff Tracker 2026 – Recent Layoffs update:

  • June 15, 2026:  BBC to cut hundreds of jobs in Britain in news division downsize.
  • June 13, 2026: Salesforce has laid off 86 employees across Mulesoft and Marketing Cloud team.
  • June 12, 2026: ServiceNow has laid off hundreds of employees as the enterprise software company continues to increase its use of artificial intelligence.
  • June 11, 2026: Papa Johns shutters nearly 50 locations across 17 states  and has laid off 7 percent of it’s corporate workforce.
  • June 10, 2026: Ubisoft lays off over 380 employees and shuts down more studios in Barcelona and San Francisco.

So I asked myself "When the heck did the Senate pass all those bills, since I check their voting record every day?" and found that there is a published (available in pdf format) Congressional Record for every day Congress meets! The publication that covers the 10 bills the Senate passed without recording it on the Senate website can be found here. The most recent published Congressional Record (on June 15, 2026 the most recent published record is from June 11, 2026) can be found here. But you have to click on "Entire Issue" in order to see all the information published in pdf format. You might find it interesting to peruse the remarks these "representatives" are saying on the chamber floors. Here is the pdf link for June 11, 2026. You can learn that Mr. Schumer stated "it may genuinely be impossible for Trump to be more out of touch with the American people than he already is" while not even mentioning the tremendous inflation under 4 years of autopen. The first section is speeches divided by topics: National Security, Inflation, Stock Buyback Accountability, William Pulte (with a few uncomplimentary words), Iran, Energy, and Medicaid. Next is the Executive Session with guest speakers and discussions on bills with votes (by name). I wonder who does the speech to text translations for the official record?

It's like they really don't want you to know what they've been up to. You have to know to start at the Congress.gov website, then scroll to the bottom of the page and look under Site Content to find Congressional Record. The Daily Digest will pop up but you have to find "Entire Issue" (under the date in about the middle of the screen) to get the full verbatim report. Just reporting on this digest would be full-time employment for a writer who wanted to take on that project!

We probably want to keep an eye on this one as the outcome could be used against states who do not want AI Data Centers.

On June 15, 2026, the White House published America 250: Presidential Message on the Anniversary of the Signing of Magna Carta. The Magna Carta was originally called the Charter of Liberties. On June 15, 1215, 811 years ago, King John of England signed the Charter of Liberties at Runnymede (near Windsor), England under duress. A group of Barons had decided they had enough of King John pillaging and plundering their wealth to support his wars. Cardinal Stephen Langton, the Archbishop of Canterbury, drafted the Charter of Liberties with the idea to make peace between the Barons and the King. It promised protection of church rights, protected the Barons from illegal imprisonment, granted access to swift and impartial justice, and most importantly, set limitations for payments to the Crown via a council of 25 Barons.

Of course, any agreement under duress (the King was forced to sign it) is easily violated, which the King did quite readily. Pope Innocent III declared the document invalid plunging England into the First Barons' War. In 1216, King John died from dysentery; however, this was not enough to end the War. King John's heir, 9-year-old Henry III took the throne under a regency. In 1217, the regency revised the document, renaming it Magna Carta (Great Charter) hoping the revision would build support for their cause; however, this revision was unsuccessful. In 1225, King Henry's regency issued the document again in exchange for new taxes.  In 1297, King Henry III's son, Edward I, confirmed the Magna Carta as part of England's Statute Law.

Ultimately, the Magna Carta gave all "free" men the right to justice and a fair trial. No man shall be arrested or imprisoned except by the judgement of their equals and by the law of the land. To no one will we sell, to no one deny or delay right of justice. But why, as Americans, should we be celebrating the incorporation of the Magna Carta into English Law? Because they were used to create Charters in the Colonies that would grant colonists the same rights, liberties, and immunities as people born in England.

Sir Edward Coke used the Magna Carta as a basis for the Virginia Charter of 1606. Maryland followed suit in 1638.

In 1687, William Penn published The Excellent Privilege of Liberty and Property: being the birth-right of the Free-Born Subjects of England (you can read it for free here, it's 257 pages long) where he indicated that he believed the Magna Carta was a fundamental law and included the entire Magna Carta in his book. This book would be later cited many times by SCOTUS as an antecedent to our 6th Amendment's right to a speedy trial.

Benjamin Franklin (discussed in my August 1, 2025 ANP Article) and others used some of its principles to draft our Declaration of Independence. President Trump writes:

What was born on the fields of Runnymede would find its truest expression centuries later in the halls of Philadelphia, where our Founding Fathers gathered to forge a new Nation from the same eternal principles.  They carried with them the ancient English love of liberty; a distinctive sense of glory, destiny, and pride ;and a culture and character shaped over centuries on both sides of the Atlantic—but they had watched a British crown grow deaf to the very charter it had sworn to uphold.  Having endured that tyranny for too long, our forefathers consecrated themselves to a new Republic grounded in the consent of the governed, equal justice under the law, and the God-given rights of every free citizen to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness—a country that would stand as living proof that the timeless ideals of the Great Charter could still sustain a free and sovereign people across the ages.

As we commemorate the anniversary of Magna Carta, we are reminded that the duty to preserve these freedoms falls to every generation of free citizens.  The Patriots who pledged their lives to Independence in 1776 were heirs to the liberties enshrined in the Great Charter, and for 250 years since, America has borne witness to the truth that those ideals can endure—that a nation built on impartial justice, individual liberty, and the rule of law can rise to meet any challenge and remain forever free.  In this incredible milestone year for our Nation, we are the proud heirs of that great legacy—and we resolve to carry it forward with the same conviction that has defined every generation of Americans who came before us.
